Groups
Groups are the name for Quarantine 2019's in-game 'guilds/clans', allowing players to join under their own unique banner.
How to Create a Group
Creating a group costs 100 SP, and can be done by clicking “Groups” tab at the top of the game screen, and then by clicking “Create a group”. The founding player then gets to choose a name for the group. Once a group is created, it will last forever until disbanded (no members left).
Group Ranks
Groups have a hierarchy, which determines the roles/permissions of every member:
*
- Founder: The highest rank. This player can recruit new members, promote/demote recruiters/leaders/founders. Founders have access to the group Message of the Day, group settings, and can change the group URL.
*
- Leader: This player can recruit new members and promote/demote recruiters. Leaders also have access to the group Message of the Day, group settings, and can change the group URL.
*
- Recruiter: This player can recruit new members. This rank is only present in groups with the Advanced Group purchase.
*
- Member: This player is simply a member, has no additional permissions.
Inviting Players
In order to invite players into a group, you must be a recruiter, leader, or founder. When on the same square as the potential recruit, clicking their names and selecting “Recruit” will create an event in that player's events log that informs them they've been invited. The recruit can then accept or decline the initiation to join.
Group Types
There are two types of groups; Basic Groups, and Advanced Groups.
*
-Basic groups are the default type and contain room for 1 founder, 2 leaders and 18 members for a total of 21 members.
*
-Advanced groups require a one-time fee of $20 USD, and last forever. Advanced groups contain room for 2 founders, and unlimited leaders, recruiters, and members. Advanced Group members are also able to assign unique titles to individual members of a lower rank.
Upgrading to Advanced
There currently exists no automated system for upgrading a group. Therefore players must donate a total of $20 (in United States dollars) via the donation page. After Donation, donators must PM Alex007 (the games Admin) with the donation amount and which group the donation is to go towards. This way it is possible for multiple group members to donate for the advanced upgrade as long as they specify in the PM subject exactly what the donation is specific for.
Group Benefits
For citizens, one benefit to groups is that fellow group mates will have a special pin next to their name, to better help identify them:
For zombies, grouping allows members to recognize grunts/groans from a fellow group mate. Any groan made by a groupmate will state the word “familiar” next to it.
Message of the Day
The MotD is a small message area where group founders and leaders can place a short message which can be viewed by all group members. The message can be editted or viewed by visiting your group page.
